Another interesting aspect of the RSA presentations I attended was the perspective of various presenters on the effectiveness of Antivirus software: The low-end estimate for the percentage of malware caught by AV software was "only about 30%" from one speaker. The high-end estimate, from a different speaker, was "about 70%". A couple of other estimates were closer to the lower end.
