There are stacks and stacks of research explaining why we prefer convenience over security. Does that mean we can't have both?

I just finished writing about a file-syncing app that dramatically simplifies my digital life and that of another 25 million people. Why that article? I was concerned. Noted experts were saying the application in question may have security issues.
